Pray
Before you open your bible, make sure you pray.
Prayer is essential because it is our time to communicate with our creator. As Jesus says, “My house shall be a house a prayer”. Most people don’t understand the Bible because they never asked the author about the content inside. That’s like coach handing you a playbook and telling you to figure it out, without giving you any instruction or guidance. Therefore, before you open your bible, consult your heavenly coach first. Ask Him to give you understanding about what you are going to read. Ask Him to speak to you in a way in which you will understand.
